Vash's horrible weapon

Well I just watched Episode 16: Fifth Moon and I saw Vash the stampede's most horrible weapon it's a energy gun that grows out of his arm. It has the power to make a hole in the moon from the earth type planet he is on. Which is really the most powerful weapon ever in trigun I have seen so far and I don't think any can match it below is are screen shots. This weapon was not known to Vash since he lost his memory but legato of the gung ho gun gang with his power forced Vash to unlock his secret weapon and shot it but Vash with all his will power forced his arm up ward and shot at the moon on accident and made a hole in it.
